10 Killed, 13 Injured As Tourist Van Crashes On Murree Expressway

A tourist van met with a tragic accident at the Khajot area on the Murree Expressway, leaving 10 tourists dead and 13 others injured.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Murree, the vehicle was overspeeding when it collided with a side wall. Following the crash, the vehicle’s engine caught fire and its sliding door became locked.

The bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment and further procedures.

The Deputy Commissioner said Rescue 1122 personnel, Motorway Police officials, and staff from the Forest Department were present at the scene and participated in rescue operations.

According to a spokesperson for the Motorway Police, all those involved in the accident belonged to the same family and were travelling from Multan to Murree.
