Three Jail Personnel Injured in Swat Prison Protest

SWAT: Three jail police personnel were injured during a protest by prisoners at the PITHAM Sub-Jail in the Galibagh area of Swat, officials said.

According to a Swat police spokesperson, the situation became tense during the prisoners’ protest, resulting in injuries to three jail personnel. The injured officials were identified as Amirullah, a resident of Shangla; Shakirullah, from Bajaur; and Touseefur Rehman, from Fatehpur.

The injured personnel were taken to Central Hospital Saidu Sharif for medical treatment. Doctors said their condition was out of danger.

Security Tightened at Jail

Following the incident, security arrangements at the sub-jail were strengthened to prevent any further escalation.
