ATTOCK: Police in Attock have arrested three suspects accused of abducting and torturing a local resident following a swift operation launched after the incident was reported to authorities.
According to police, officials at Pindi Gheb Police Station received information that a citizen had allegedly been abducted from his shop, held in illegal confinement, and subjected to physical torture by a group of individuals.
Police said the suspects later abandoned the victim near his residence before fleeing the area.
Upon receiving details of the incident, District Police Officer (DPO) Attock Sardar Mawar Khan took notice of the case and directed police to register a criminal case and immediately arrest those involved.
Suspects arrested during police operation
Acting on the instructions, SHO Pindi Gheb Police Station and his team launched an operation and arrested three suspects identified as Shahzad Ahmed, Sameer Ahmed, and Moezzin Ali, all residents of Khor Company area in Tehsil Pindi Gheb, District Attock.
Police said the arrests were made within a short period of time following the registration of the case.
Investigation underway
Authorities confirmed that further investigation is continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged kidnapping and torture incident.
Police officials said legal proceedings are being carried out in accordance with the law, while investigators continue questioning the suspects and gathering evidence related to the case.
