Lahore, Pakistan – July 22, 2026: Senior figures from business, government, technology and diplomacy gathered in Lahore for the inaugural Global Outlook Exchange, where discussions focused on Pakistan’s economic outlook, investment prospects and the future of enterprise transformation.
The forum was organised by The Leaders Network Pakistan in partnership with Business Line, an SAP partner and technology and outsourcing company. The event brought together corporate executives, policymakers and industry representatives to examine the reforms and investment needed for sustainable economic growth.
Dr. Salman Ahmed, Global Head of Macro and Strategic Asset Allocation at Fidelity International, delivered the keynote address on the global economic outlook, emerging market trends and the structural changes Pakistan may need to strengthen long-term competitiveness.
US Consul General in Lahore Stetson Sanders said the United States continued to value its economic partnership with Pakistan and remained interested in expanding trade and business ties.
He highlighted initiatives such as the SelectUSA Investment Summit, saying such platforms could help encourage investment and build stronger links between companies in both countries.
Nabeel Ahmed, CEO of Business Line Pakistan, said successful transformation required more than technology alone and depended on informed leadership, dialogue and the exchange of ideas.
He said the collaboration with The Leaders Network Pakistan was intended to create a platform where business leaders, policymakers and innovators could discuss issues shaping the country’s economic future.
The event also featured remarks by The Leaders Network Pakistan founder Anwar Kabir, Bank of Punjab President and CEO Zafar Masud, and FPCCI Regional Chairman and Vice President Zaki Ijaz.
Speakers discussed the importance of economic reforms, greater investment and stronger private-sector leadership in improving long-term growth and competitiveness.
Organisers said the Global Outlook Exchange would continue as a leadership platform aimed at promoting engagement between government, business and industry representatives on economic and technological challenges.
