“We remember the sacrifices of martyred officers who set an example of bravery,” says the minister
Peshawar: Two policemen were martyred in a terrorist attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat, police said on Monday.
The police officers were traveling on a motorcycle to the local police station in Kheru Khel Pakka area when they were ambushed by terrorists, police added.
In response, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the martyred officers and appreciated their courage and sacrifice.
“We pay tribute to the victims of the martyred officers who set an example of bravery,” he said.
Naqvi expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the fallen heroes and assured them of the unwavering support of the nation. He further highlighted the historical contribution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Force in the fight against terrorism and reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure the safety of law enforcement personnel.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also condemned the attack, calling it a “deeply sad” incident. He expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs, saying, “We stand with the families of the bereaved in their time of grief.”
The governor emphasized the need to continue the fight against terrorism to honor the sacrifices of these brave officers.
