ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) organized Tajweed Al-Qur’an classes during Ramadan here on Wednesday.
A total of 37 university employees were registered for these classes, including 22 staff members and 15 staff members. The certificate presentation ceremony for these classes took place yesterday.
The ceremony was presided over by the dean of the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies, prof. Dr. Mohyuddin Hashmi and Director, Coordination and Monitoring Prof. Dr. Syed. Aamir Shah was the chief guest. Dr. Sana Ullah Hussain, Chairman of the Quran and Tafseer Department, hosted the event.
Prof. Dr. Speaking at the ceremony, Amir Shah spoke about the close relationship between the Quran and Ramadan and congratulated the Ministry of Quran and Tafseer for their efforts.
Dr. Mohyuddin Hashmi appreciated the department’s work in guiding people back to the Holy Quran and emphasized the importance of Quran and Sunnah in guiding Muslims.
Dr. Sana Ullah mentioned that the teachers in the Tajweed Al-Qur’an classes focused on ensuring the correct pronunciation of the Qur’an.
He explained that the purpose of these classes is to teach basic religious rules and regulations.
Participants reported that the classes provided them with guidance in all aspects of their lives. At the end, the participants were given certificates.
