Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu has explained why she has chosen to keep her marriage and family life largely away from social media.
Pannu married former badminton player Mathias Boe in a private ceremony in 2024, after being in a relationship with him for several years. The actor has largely avoided sharing wedding pictures or details of her personal life online.
In a recent interview, Pannu said her decision is partly about protecting people close to her from the level of public scrutiny that comes with her career.
She explained that when she shares a photograph or video, the attention does not remain limited to her because other people appearing in the content may also come under public scrutiny.
Pannu said Boe, although a sports figure, is not accustomed to the same level of media and public attention that she has experienced as a public figure.
She also pointed out that sharing photographs involving family members or guests could expose them to scrutiny regardless of whether the response is positive or negative.
The actor has previously spoken about maintaining boundaries between her professional career and personal life, choosing to keep her family away from unnecessary public attention.
