Summer Break Ends: Sindh Schools to Reopen on August 1

KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced that all public and private schools across the province will reopen on August 1, marking the end of the 2026 summer vacation.

The School Education and Literacy Department has confirmed that summer vacations, observed from June 1 to July 31, will conclude as scheduled, with academic activities resuming from Friday, August 1.

Under the revised schedule, all government and private schools will follow a six-day working week, with regular classes being held from Monday to Saturday, according to the official notification.

The reopening applies to educational institutions operating under the administrative control of the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department.

Education officials have advised schools to ensure all academic and administrative arrangements are in place before students return to classrooms after the two-month summer break.
