A fire broke out at the grid station supplying electricity to the entire Sujawal district on Thursday night due to a short circuit, plunging the coastal town into darkness. The HESCO officials requested assistance from the district’s firefighting unit, but it arrived late, exacerbating the situation.

According to the HESCO spokesperson in Sujawal, the fire did not cause significant damage to the station, except for disrupting power supply. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire, with initial findings suggesting a short circuit.
