Minister Highlights EV Infrastructure

Haroon Akhtar Khan said the government is promoting investment, innovation and industrial development under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, with Vision 2030 focusing on electric mobility, renewable energy and sustainable economic growth.

He described the agreement as one of the largest strategic collaborations between a Chinese and a Pakistani company in the EV sector and said it would help accelerate the country’s transition to cleaner transportation.

Haroon Akhtar Khan also acknowledged the efforts of Omar Malik, Director of StarCharge Energy Pakistan, for helping bring international investment and EV charging technology to Pakistan.

He said Malik’s leadership has contributed to strengthening international partnerships and supporting the government’s objectives for expanding the country’s clean energy and electric mobility ecosystem.
