Islamabad : On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Executive Director of the Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO), Syed Kausar Abbas, emphasized that violence against women is a global issue. He stated that such violence not only violates individual rights but also poses a significant obstacle to the development and prosperity of society.
He urged everyone to pledge today to eradicate behaviors and actions in homes and workplaces that undermine the dignity and respect of women. Syed Kausar Abbas called on the government to ensure the implementation of existing laws to prevent violence against women and to develop more comprehensive policies in this regard.
He further added that a strong and peaceful society can only be established when equal opportunities, rights and protection are provided to both women and men. Gender equality is not only a symbol of justice but also a foundation for social stability.
The Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) appealed to citizens, civil society, government institutions and the media to play their role in eliminating violence against women and contribute to creating a safe and respectful environment for them.
