ISLAMABAD: The first group of the Sri Lankan cricket team has arrived in Islamabad for the upcoming tour of Pakistan and received a warm welcome at the airport.
The 13-member contingent includes eight players from Sri Lanka’s T20 squad and five team management officials.
The remaining five players of the Sri Lankan squad are scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka will face each other in a three-match T20I series, with the opening match scheduled to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 9.
The remaining two matches of the series will also be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 11 and 13.
