Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day has become one of the fastest films in history to surpass $1 billion at the global box office, reaching the milestone just six days after its release.
Starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, the latest Spider-Man installment has drawn massive audiences worldwide, delivering one of the strongest theatrical openings in recent years and cementing its place among Hollywood’s biggest box office successes.
Second-fastest film to reach $1 billion
According to industry box office figures, only Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame (2019) reached the $1 billion mark faster. That film generated approximately $1.2 billion globally during its opening weekend.
The rapid success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day highlights the continued global popularity of the Marvel franchise and the enduring appeal of the Spider-Man character.
Record-breaking performance in North America
The film also posted exceptional numbers in North America, earning $407 million during its first four days, setting a new benchmark and surpassing the previous record held by Black Panther (2018) for the same release period.
The strong domestic and international performance has positioned the film among the highest-grossing Hollywood releases of recent years.
