PESHAWAR: District Social Welfare Officer Peshawar Shoaib Khan visited the Hamza Foundation Welfare Thalassaemia and Hemophilia Center on Saturday to review its healthcare, blood banking and patient-support services.

During the visit, Hamza Foundation Founder Chairman Ijaz Ali Khan briefed the official on the organisation’s treatment facilities and welfare programmes for patients living with thalassaemia and hemophilia.

Shoaib Khan inspected the thalassaemia and hemophilia wards, digital blood bank, laboratory, blood donation room, nursing department, doctors’ room, reception area and medical store.

He also met children receiving treatment at the centre and distributed gifts and juice among the young patients.

The district social welfare officer praised the foundation’s efforts to provide medical care, blood services and humanitarian assistance to patients and their families.

He said welfare organisations working in the health sector were playing an important role in supporting vulnerable communities and improving access to essential care.

Ijaz Ali Khan thanked Shoaib Khan for visiting the centre and highlighting the organisation’s work.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Hamza Foundation founder presented a commemorative shield to the district social welfare officer in recognition of his support for the foundation’s humanitarian activities.
