Police in Shikarpur have arrested a man after his daughter and a young man were allegedly shot dead in an incident described as an honour killing in Mahmood Bagh village.
According to police, the victims were identified as 18-year-old Basheera and Altaf Ahmed, aged around 23 to 24. The victims’ bodies were taken into custody and shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police said the woman’s father, Abdullah, was arrested in connection with the killings. Investigators have begun examining different aspects of the incident.
The case comes amid a series of reported killings in Shikarpur. Police said four women have been killed in separate alleged honour-related incidents in the district over the past week.
