Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has signed a short-term deal with Lancashire Lightning for the remainder of the 2026 Vitality Blast season, the English county club confirmed.

The move sees the 27-year-old replace Australian all-rounder Chris Green, who has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Shadab is expected to join the squad immediately and become available for Lancashire’s upcoming fixture against Leicestershire Foxes.

The signing adds international experience to Lancashire’s T20 setup at a crucial stage of the competition, as the team pushes toward the latter phase of the tournament.

Shadab has previously featured in English county and franchise cricket, including spells with Sussex Sharks and Yorkshire, and has built a strong reputation in T20 leagues worldwide.

In international T20 cricket, Shadab has represented Pakistan in 124 matches, scoring 1,009 runs at a strike rate of 144 and taking 123 wickets, making him one of Pakistan’s leading all-rounders in the format.

Following the announcement, Shadab expressed his excitement about returning to English conditions, saying he looks forward to playing for a historic club and performing in front of fans at Old Trafford. : India Defeat Pakistan 4–2 in Hockey Pro League as Losing Streak Extends
