Seerat-e-Mualim-e-Insaniyat ﷺ Book on Prophet’s Life Launched in Gujrat

GUJRAT: A literary and spiritually charged gathering was held in Gujrat for the launch of Seerat-e-Mualim-e-Insaniyat ﷺ, a new book by Jamaat-e-Islami North Punjab Ameer and Islamic scholar Dr. Tariq Saleem.

Published by Qalam Foundation Lahore, the book explores the life, teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and presents them as a guide for human life and contemporary challenges.

The ceremony began with recitation from the Holy Quran and Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool ﷺ. The book was formally unveiled by dignitaries during the event.

The gathering was presided over by Jamaat-e-Islami Central Deputy Ameer Liaquat Baloch, while former federal parliamentary secretary and political figure Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul attended as the chief guest. University of Gujrat Senior Director, columnist and historian Prof. Sheikh Abdul Rashid was the guest of honour.

Addressing the ceremony, Liaquat Baloch praised Dr. Tariq Saleem’s contribution to Islamic scholarship and literature, describing him as an active member of Jamaat-e-Islami, mentor and writer.

Nawabzada Ghazanfar Ali Gul said writing about the Seerat of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was a great honour and praised the author for undertaking the scholarly work.

Prof. Sheikh Abdul Rashid presented a review of the book, highlighting its simple and accessible writing style. He said the author had avoided complicated terminology, making the work understandable to a broad readership and particularly useful for students and educators.

Dr. Tariq Saleem said the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ represent an enduring source of guidance and a comprehensive model for human existence. He emphasized the importance of keeping the Seerat relevant amid contemporary intellectual and social challenges.

Other speakers, including Pir Haroon Bukhari, Arif Ali Meer Advocate, former MPA Amir Usman Adil, Prof. Tafakhar Mahmood Gondal, Allama Syed Altaf-ur-Rehman and several other scholars and writers, also shared their views on the book and its author.

The event was attended by prominent religious scholars, writers, journalists, academics and socio-political figures from Gujrat and surrounding areas.

Concluding the ceremony, host Chaudhry Nisar Rolia thanked the guests and participants, particularly those who travelled from Italy, and described the gathering as a significant literary occasion for Gujrat.
