RAWALPINDI: A major security forces operation in Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District, on 20 September 2025, killed seven militants linked with cross-border terrorism.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops launched the intelligence-based raid after confirming the presence of Fitna al Khwarij, a proxy group backed by foreign elements. Soldiers swiftly engaged the militants and neutralized them. Among the dead were three Afghan nationals and two suicide bombers preparing to attack Pakistan.
The security forces’ operation once again demonstrated Pakistan’s determination to dismantle terrorist networks. Moreover, it highlighted the Army’s readiness and the sacrifices made by its soldiers in defense of the country. Officials stressed that decisive actions remain vital to maintaining regional stability.
Pakistan has consistently urged the Interim Afghan Government to deny terrorists safe havens. However, repeated use of Afghan soil by militants continues to pose a serious challenge. Therefore, ISPR called on Kabul to strengthen cooperation and fulfill its responsibilities in the fight against terrorism.
Meanwhile, troops began a sanitization drive in Kulachi to ensure no other hideouts remain in the area. In addition, local communities received assurances that the Army will protect their lives and property. Authorities encouraged citizens to report suspicious activity to further support national security.
The Army reaffirmed that it will launch similar security forces operations wherever militants attempt to regroup. Furthermore, ISPR emphasized that Pakistan will not tolerate Indian-sponsored terrorism or destabilizing activities. The campaign, they added, aims to secure long-term peace across the country.
By combining public vigilance with military resolve, Pakistan seeks to build a safer future. Every soldier engaged in this mission continues to defend sovereignty and protect the next generation from extremist threats.
