SWAT: The District Magistrate Swat, Salim Jan, has imposed multiple restrictions across the district under Section 144 due to law and order and public safety concerns.

According to an official notification, the use of LPG in CNG vehicle cylinders has been completely banned. LPG shopkeepers have been strictly directed not to refill CNG cylinders with LPG, as the practice poses serious risks to human life and property.

The order also prohibits the use of police lights, sirens and official markings on private vehicles. Authorities said such practices create a false impression of official authority and may be misused for illegal activities, besides posing security risks for law enforcement agencies.

The use of dark tinted windows or any material that blocks visibility inside vehicles has also been banned. The administration said tinted windows reduce transparency and can hinder security checks.

Under the same order, all types of mining and excavation activities in River Swat have been strictly prohibited. The sale and installation of police lights at shops has also been banned.

The use of police uniforms without official permission has also been prohibited.

The district administration warned that strict legal action will be taken under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code against violators.

The notification will remain effective for two months
