UPPER DIR: Newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal (SBBU), Upper Dir, Prof. Dr. Iqbal Munir, conducted a surprise visit to various academic departments of the university at 9:00 a.m. to review academic, research and administrative activities.
During the visit, the Vice Chancellor met teaching and supporting staff, inspected classrooms, seminar halls and laboratories, and reviewed the ongoing academic and research activities.
Prof. Dr. Iqbal Munir visited the Departments of Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Agriculture and Botany, where heads of the departments welcomed him and briefed him on academic standards, research progress, available facilities and challenges being faced by their respective departments.
Speaking during the visit, the Vice Chancellor said the university’s primary objective is to provide quality education and a conducive environment for research.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring 100 percent attendance of students, faculty and staff, adding that deficiencies identified in any department would be addressed on a priority basis.
Prof. Dr. Munir said every possible effort would be made to resolve students’ problems and provide them with the facilities they need. He described students as the university’s valuable asset and the architects of a brighter future.
The Vice Chancellor directed heads of departments to hold meetings with their complete staff and assign clear responsibilities with renewed academic commitment.
He stressed punctuality, honesty and sincerity in the performance of official duties and instructed staff to remain committed to providing the best possible services and facilities to students.
The Vice Chancellor warned that strict action would be taken against negligence, carelessness or laxity in the performance of duties. He also emphasized that no compromise would be made on cleanliness and maintenance across the university.
He directed officials to ensure that all necessary requirements are met to create a better, more effective and conducive academic environment.
Prof. Dr. Iqbal Munir expressed his resolve to strengthen collective efforts to establish SBBU Sheringal as a prominent institution in education and research, while ensuring that every department is developed in accordance with modern academic requirements.
