ISLAMABAD: A high-level Saudi business delegation led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to explore investment and business opportunities across major sectors of Pakistan’s economy.

The visit focused on expanding Pakistan-Saudi economic cooperation and identifying projects that could attract Saudi investment under both government-to-government and business-to-business frameworks.

During the visit, SIFC coordinated meetings between the Saudi delegation and senior government officials, as well as representatives of key public and private-sector organisations.

Discussions covered opportunities in power, petroleum, privatisation, industries, communications and highways, with participants reviewing potential areas for investment and commercial collaboration.

The engagements also examined both G2G and B2B investment models, as Pakistan seeks to convert growing Saudi investor interest into concrete projects across priority sectors.

Officials said the visit reflected the continued strengthening of economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, whose bilateral relationship has increasingly focused on trade, investment and long-term commercial partnerships.

The delegation also interacted with leading private-sector entities to assess opportunities beyond government-led projects and explore areas where Saudi companies could partner with Pakistani businesses.

SIFC has been working to facilitate foreign investment by coordinating between federal and provincial authorities, regulators and investors, with a focus on reducing procedural delays and improving the investment process.

The latest Saudi delegation visit comes amid wider efforts by Pakistan to attract foreign capital into infrastructure, energy, industry and other growth-oriented sectors.

According to SIFC, the objective is to translate longstanding economic goodwill between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia into sustainable and mutually beneficial investment outcomes.
