Pakistani actor Saud Qasmi has criticized those he believes contribute to increasing conflicts within the showbiz industry, specifically accusing television host and actress Nadia Khan of fueling controversies among celebrities.
Speaking on Wasi Chaudhry’s talk show “Gup Shup,” Saud claimed that controversial questions are sometimes raised on television in ways that create disagreements between artists. He alleged that Nadia Khan had previously made statements about various personalities that contributed to further controversy.
According to Saud, most people in the entertainment industry maintain good relationships with one another, while disputes between celebrities generally settle down on their own within a few days. He argued that such disagreements should not be deliberately prolonged.
Nadia Khan responded to Saud’s remarks, describing his allegations as fabricated. She also suggested that his comments had ultimately worked against him.
Nadia further criticized host Wasi Chaudhry, accusing him of seeking cheap publicity in an effort to boost the show’s ratings.
The exchange has once again drawn attention to the long-running debate over the role of television talk shows and celebrity interviews in amplifying disputes within Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
