Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has faced criticism on social media following the release of a romantic song from his upcoming patriotic film, Matrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace.

Titled “Teri Sexy Beauty,” the song was released on the morning of November 4 and features Salman Khan alongside actress Chitrangda Singh. The track also marks Salman’s return to playback singing after 11 years.

The music video shows the two actors sharing romantic and playful moments, enjoying drinks and dancing together. Chitrangda Singh appears in a red saree, while Salman Khan is seen in a light-hearted romantic role.

The song features vocals by Salman Khan and Muskaan, with additional vocals by Sajid Khan.

Viewers Question Song’s Relevance To Film

The release has sparked debate among social media users, with some questioning whether a romantic party song is appropriate for a film inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.

Critics argued that a film based on a sensitive military incident should feature music that reflects its patriotic and serious subject matter. Some users also questioned the song’s lyrics, particularly its references to drinks and a woman’s beauty.

Salman Khan’s singing and the lyrics also attracted sarcastic comments. One social media user compared the lyrics to something written by ChatGPT, while another criticised the actor for potentially damaging his own career.

Some comments were particularly harsh, with one user suggesting that Salman Khan should retire instead of making more films of this kind.

However, the reaction was not entirely negative. Several fans defended the song, describing its tune as catchy and welcoming Salman Khan’s return to playback singing.

Film Inspired By 2020 Galwan Valley Clash

Matrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace, previously titled Battle of Galwan, is inspired by the June 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley.

The incident resulted in the deaths of 20 Indian military personnel, including Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu.

Salman Khan plays an army officer in the film, while Chitrangda Singh portrays his wife.

The controversy surrounding the romantic track has drawn further attention to the film, with audiences debating how romantic elements fit into a story inspired by a sensitive military event.
