Lahore: Now, in case of death, the family of a civil servant will not get a job.
The Government of Punjab has repealed Rule 17-A relating to the employment of Government Servants in the Punjab and amended the Government of Punjab Appointment of Civil Servants and Conditions of Service Rules, 1974.
Under Rule 17-A, families of government employees were given jobs. According to this rule, in the event of the death of a civil servant, one of his wives or children was entitled to employment.
It is worth noting that Secretary Regulatory Services and General Administration Irfan Ahmed Sandhu has issued a notification to repeal Rule 17-A.
