ISLAMABAD — Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, met a delegation from the Federal Youth Parliament Pakistan on Tuesday to discuss youth-led initiatives focused on social awareness and women’s empowerment.
The delegation, led by its founder Saqib Ali, briefed the chairperson on ongoing programmes aimed at community engagement and awareness among young people.
During the meeting, Khalid highlighted the role of youth in national development and stressed the importance of guidance and informed participation in social initiatives.
She also underscored BISP’s role in supporting women’s identity and economic empowerment, and encouraged the delegation to raise public awareness about the programme’s impact.
Officials said the engagement reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between public institutions and youth platforms on social development initiatives.
