ISLAMABAD: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has extended heartfelt congratulations to President Asif Ali Zardari on the occasion of his 71st birthday, conveying her best wishes for his health, long life, and continued success.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Senator Rubina Khalid prayed that Allah Almighty bless President Zardari with good health, safety, and the strength to continue serving the nation.

She said President Asif Ali Zardari has played a historic role in strengthening democracy, upholding the Constitution, and reinforcing Pakistan’s federal system. According to the BISP chairperson, his political wisdom and commitment to reconciliation have become an important chapter in the country’s democratic journey.

Senator Khalid noted that President Zardari rendered valuable services in safeguarding and strengthening Pakistan’s democratic system during some of the nation’s most challenging political periods. She added that his dedication to public service, democratic values, and constitutional supremacy would continue to be remembered.

Highlighting his political legacy, Senator Rubina Khalid said President Zardari’s contribution to carrying forward the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto remains significant and unforgettable. She added that his leadership continues to play an important role in promoting political stability, national unity, and public welfare across Pakistan.

She further stated that the leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has consistently struggled for the protection of public rights, democracy, and constitutional supremacy, emphasizing that President Zardari’s public service has earned nationwide recognition.
