Islamabad: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, on Sunday said Pakistan Day serves as a reminder of the principles of unity, faith and discipline, urging citizens to work collectively for national progress and stability.
In her message marking March 23, she emphasized that adherence to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah remains essential for the country’s development. She said economic self-reliance and public welfare should remain shared national goals.
Senator Khalid highlighted the role of BISP in supporting low-income families, stating that the programme continues to prioritize assistance for deserving households. She added that empowering women is central to building a stronger and more resilient Pakistan.
She described Pakistan Day as an occasion to renew national commitment, calling on citizens to contribute to the country’s advancement. She also stressed that the rule of law and constitutional supremacy are key to ensuring long-term stability.
