ISLAMABAD: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has strongly condemned the IED attack on a police vehicle in Lakki Marwat that resulted in the martyrdom of several police personnel, including a station house officer (SHO).
In a statement, the BISP chairperson expressed grief over the loss of lives and extended condolences to the families of the fallen officers. The attack targeted police personnel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district, highlighting the continuing security challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in the region.
Rubina Khalid said the sacrifices of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in maintaining peace and stability are significant and should not be forgotten. She noted that attacks on security forces cannot undermine the nation’s resolve to combat terrorism.
The senator also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured police officer and reiterated that the sacrifices of police and security personnel would not go in vain.
She urged national unity in the fight against terrorism and expressed prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and patience for their bereaved families.
