SWAT: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand Division Syed Fida Hassan Shah has said there are no no-go areas anywhere in Malakand Division, reaffirming that law enforcement agencies will continue efforts to maintain peace and respond to security threats across the region.
The remarks came after the RPO chaired a high-level security meeting in Saidu Sharif, Swat, where senior police officials reviewed the overall law and order situation, counterterrorism measures and operational preparedness across the division.
High-Level Security Meeting Held in Swat
District Police Officers (DPOs) from Swat and other districts of Malakand Division, along with senior officials of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), attended the meeting.
Participants reviewed the prevailing security situation, counterterrorism operations, protection of sensitive installations, intelligence sharing and police readiness. Officials also agreed to continue coordinated efforts to address security challenges across the division.
RPO Reaffirms State Writ and Security Preparedness
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Syed Fida Hassan Shah said the writ of the state has been established throughout Swat and the wider Malakand Division.
He said law enforcement agencies would continue operations against militant elements under a comprehensive strategy while prioritising the protection of lives and property. The RPO added that police personnel are equipped with modern weapons, operational equipment and professional training to respond to security challenges.
Tourists Assured of Security
The RPO also said comprehensive security arrangements are in place at tourist destinations across Malakand Division.
He encouraged tourists from across Pakistan to visit Swat and other attractions, stating that the police, CTD and other law enforcement agencies are working in coordination to maintain peace and stability in the region.
