RIYADH: Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Al Nassr training ahead of the new Saudi Pro League season, attracting attention not only for his return to football but also for a striking new copper-yellow hairstyle.
The 41-year-old Portugal captain recently married longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, on August 11. He has now returned to Riyadh and resumed preparations with Al Nassr following Portugal’s 2026 World Cup campaign.
Ronaldo Shows Off New Look
Ronaldo shared photographs from his return on social media, wearing Al Nassr training gear and sporting his new golden-copper hairstyle.
The new look is a noticeable departure from the dark brown hair he has traditionally worn and quickly attracted attention from football fans on social media. Reports said Ronaldo captioned his return post simply “Back”, accompanied by Al Nassr’s yellow and blue emojis.
The Portugal star’s return follows a period away from club duties after the national team’s World Cup campaign ended with a defeat to Spain on July 6.
Ronaldo’s Return Comes Before Al Nassr Opener
Ronaldo has rejoined Al Nassr as the Saudi club prepares for its opening 2026-27 Saudi Pro League fixture against Al Fateh on August 15.
New head coach Ange Postecoglou has welcomed the forward back into training, but reports indicate Ronaldo is unlikely to feature in the opening match because he has not yet reached full match fitness following his extended break.
Al Nassr are beginning their title defence under Postecoglou, who took over from Jorge Jesus during the summer.
Ronaldo Chasing 1,000 Career Goals
The new season is another important chapter in Ronaldo’s pursuit of 1,000 career goals, a milestone he is closing in on after one of the longest and most prolific careers in international football.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner will also be looking to maintain his scoring form in Saudi Arabia as Al Nassr targets further domestic success.
For now, however, Ronaldo’s return to Riyadh has already generated plenty of attention, with his new golden hairstyle becoming one of the most talked-about aspects of his comeback.
