Rescue 1122 Warns of Monsoon Road Hazards

District Emergency Officer Malik Sher Dil Khan said road accidents typically increase during the monsoon season as continuous rainfall makes mountain roads slippery and hazardous.

He urged motorists to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain, maintain safe speeds, ensure their vehicles are mechanically fit, and exercise extra caution while driving on steep roads, sharp bends, and mountainous routes.

The officer also advised drivers to remain alert near seasonal streams, deep ravines, and other high-risk locations where weather-related accidents are more likely.

Public Asked to Report Emergencies Promptly

Engineer Malik Sher Dil Khan encouraged the public to immediately report road accidents, natural disasters, or other emergencies through the Rescue 1122 helpline to ensure a timely response.

He said Rescue 1122 Shangla remains operational around the clock with trained personnel, specialized equipment, and modern rescue vehicles to respond to emergencies across the district.
