Tarbela Ghazi: A first aid training and free medical camp were organized by Rescue 1122 for workers at mines and crushing plants in the remote area of Amgah, Tehsil Ghazi. The initiative aimed to train workers on preventive measures and emergency response during accidents at crushing plants or mines.
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Haripur, Shozeb Abbas, who visited the training camp, inspected the medical facilities, and interacted with the doctors and workers. Other notable attendees included Assistant Commissioner Hamza Abbas, Mines Inspector Hafeezullah, and Rescue 1122 medical and disaster management staff.
Deputy Commissioner Shozeb Abbas stated that similar training and medical camps have been organized across all three tehsils of Haripur, including Bheer, Choi, and now Amgah, to ensure workers’ safety. He emphasized that mine and crushing plant owners and leaseholders are being held accountable for implementing safety measures and providing adequate medical facilities for workers. These efforts aim to minimize workplace accidents and ensure that workers have access to proper medical care.
