LAHORE: Registration for Honahar scholarship program has officially started for college students across Punjab. The program will provide annual scholarships to 30,000 deserving students in 68 different fields to ensure access to higher education for talented individuals. The initiative will benefit students from 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges and 131 post-graduate colleges, extending to top private universities. The total value of scholarships under this program is expected to reach Rs 130 billion over eight years, with 120,000 students expected to receive financial assistance in the next four years. Today, I am thrilled and excited to announce the Honahar Scholarship Program, an initiative that gives our youth access to quality education for deserving and deserving students and enables them to realize their dreams of higher education and break all financial barriers. Inaugurating the scholarship, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said she has fulfilled the promise she made in her first speech since assuming office. “The launch of the Honahar scholarship program is a significant milestone. This initiative will remove financial barriers for bright and deserving students to pursue higher education.” She further added that the program is designed to fulfill the dreams of Pakistan’s youth by giving them access to quality education and promising job opportunities. “I am determined to fulfill my promise to empower our youth and secure their future,” said Maryam Nawaz.
