RAWALPINDI: Nala Lai in Rawalpindi swelled following heavy water flow, damaging citizens’ property and sweeping away several vehicles parked near the water channel, according to footage circulating from the affected area.
The Rawalpindi Nala Lai flood created a serious situation along the channel, where several cars parked at a nearby park were caught in the rising water. Videos from the area show vehicles being carried away by the strong current as owners watched from a higher point and attempted to save them.
Vehicles Swept Away by Strong Current
Footage shows the water level rising rapidly around vehicles parked along Nala Lai. Several cars were eventually overwhelmed by the flow and swept downstream.
The vehicles’ owners could be seen standing at a higher location and trying to protect their property, but the strength of the water made it difficult to retrieve the cars.
The incident has highlighted the dangers faced by property and vehicles located close to Nala Lai during periods of intense water flow.
