Rawalpindi Board Announces 9th Class Results With 37.56% Pass Rate

RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has announced the results of the 9th class examinations, with an overall pass percentage of 37.56%.

According to the board, 121,739 candidates appeared in the examinations. Of these, 45,725 students passed, while 76,015 were declared unsuccessful. A total of 2,359 candidates were absent from the examinations.

Girls Outperform Boys

Female students recorded a higher success rate than male students in the 9th class examinations.

The pass percentage among female candidates stood at 46.48%, compared with 27.99% among male candidates.

The board has promoted both successful and unsuccessful students to the 10th class.

Board Announces Digital Examination System

Speaking at the result announcement, BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Professor Dr Iqbal said the board’s system had been fully digitised.

He also said measures had been taken to eliminate cheating and the use of unfair means during examinations.

According to the chairman, there will be no separate supplementary examination for 9th class students. Candidates who need to improve or clear subjects will instead take the relevant examination alongside the annual examinations.
