RAWALPINDI: The first Qayyum Gul (late) PSA Satellite Squash Championship concluded at The Shalimar Club in Rawalpindi after four days of competition featuring 32 players, with Abdullah Nawaz defeating Salman Saleem 3-0 in the final.
The tournament brought together leading players in a competitive PSA Satellite event and ended with Abdullah Nawaz securing the championship title in straight games.
The final was attended by Pakistan Squash Federation Secretary Amir Nawaz, along with national squash players Nasir Iqbal and Muhammad Asim Khan.
Officials of The Shalimar Club also remained involved throughout the four-day competition, including Vice President Naeem Anwar, Additional Secretary Abid Cheema, Game Secretary Squash Syed Raza Ali and senior member Saeed Anwar.
Following the final, a presentation ceremony was held in which Amir Nawaz and members of The Shalimar Club management presented shields to champion Abdullah Nawaz and runner-up Salman Saleem.

The championship was organised in memory of the late Qayyum Gul and provided players with another competitive platform under the PSA Satellite format.
The event also highlighted Rawalpindi’s role in hosting competitive squash and bringing together players, federation officials and members of the national squash community at The Shalimar Club.
