LAHORE, August 2, 2026: Punjab Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan visited the residence of former Member of the National Assembly Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar on Sunday to offer condolences to the bereaved family.
During the visit, the minister met Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar, the late politician’s son, and other family members.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved family.
Paying tribute to Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar, the provincial minister described him as a principled, sincere and people-oriented political leader who devoted his political and social life to public service.
He said the late parliamentarian’s political, social and public contributions would be remembered with respect.
The minister added that Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar’s death was a significant loss for political and public circles, saying the country had lost an experienced and devoted public representative.
He also expressed solidarity with the family on behalf of the Punjab government and prayed for eternal peace for the deceased.
