MARDAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Peshawar Region’s Information Secretary, Engineer Adil Nawaz, has strongly rejected the recent baseless and fabricated allegations made by Punjab’s Minister, Uzma Bukhari. He stated that the KP government firmly believes in public service, transparency, and timely completion of development projects, all of which are well-documented.
Over the past year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has initiated 625 development projects, many of which have been completed. These projects have been executed with complete transparency, and their details can be reviewed in the KP Yearbook 2025. The KP government is actively working on improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, and energy sectors, ensuring that the benefits reach the public.
Responding to allegations regarding financial matters and salaries, Engineer Adil Nawaz dismissed Uzma Bukhari’s claim that the KP government had failed to pay government employees. He assured that the salaries and pensions of all government employees are being disbursed on time. Any temporary or technical issues that may have arisen were promptly resolved. Moreover, the KP government is implementing financial reforms to further stabilize the province’s economy.
Regarding corruption allegations, Adil Nawaz stated that Uzma Bukhari’s accusations are nothing more than political point-scoring. He emphasized that KP has a robust and independent accountability system in place, actively addressing any irregularities. He challenged anyone with concrete evidence to pursue legal channels instead of misleading the public with baseless claims.
Reaffirming the KP government’s commitment to public service and development, he extended an invitation to the Punjab government to adopt similar public welfare initiatives. He urged the Punjab government to reinstate the Sehat Card scheme and the Ramadan Package to provide real relief to the people of Punjab if they are genuinely committed to public welfare.
