Senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah has said the PTI founder is not ready for any political deal, claiming that earlier contacts failed after initial willingness was withdrawn. His remarks come amid ongoing discussions about possible negotiations between the government and the opposition.

Speaking in an interview with ARY News, Rana Sanaullah said that during a recent meeting, the PTI founder — Imran Khan — initially showed readiness for a settlement but later stepped back. He added that a third attempt would not succeed if expectations of a “revolution” continue to influence decisions.

“Politics is about finding solutions,” he said, adding that prolonged deadlock serves no one. However, he described the PTI founder’s approach as rigid and maintained that the proposed conditions were not acceptable.

Rana Sanaullah further stated that the government was aware of the serious attempts at dialogue and that such efforts could not proceed without official knowledge. He argued that if expectations of imminent political upheaval are reconsidered, space for negotiations could reopen.

Referring to Nawaz Sharif, he described him as an experienced politician who has previously navigated political crises and found workable solutions.

The comments come at a time of continued political tensions, as speculation grows over whether formal talks between the government and PTI will resume.
