PSX Surges 5,335 Points in a Week, KSE-100 Closes at 181,430

KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) recorded a strong weekly gain as the benchmark KSE-100 Index surged by 5,335 points to close at 181,430, while total market capitalisation increased by Rs482 billion.

According to the weekly market update, the KSE-100 traded within a 4,963-point range during the week, reaching a high of 182,007 points and touching a low of 177,043 points.

The overall trend remained positive during the trading week, with improved investor sentiment supporting activity at the bourse.

PSX Trading Volume Reaches 3.74 Billion Shares

Trading activity also remained strong, with 3.74 billion shares changing hands during the week.

The total value of shares traded during the period stood at approximately Rs169 billion, reflecting substantial investor participation in the equity market.

Market Capitalisation Jumps Rs482 Billion

The bullish week also added significantly to the overall value of listed companies.

PSX market capitalisation increased by Rs482 billion over the week to reach Rs20.237 trillion.

The KSE-100’s weekly close at 181,430 came after the index climbed as high as 182,007 during the period, indicating sustained buying momentum despite fluctuations between individual sessions.
