ISLAMABAD: Investors are set to get a new opportunity in Pakistan’s capital market as the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved a fresh public offering at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), marking the 13th public offering of 2026.
The approved offering is for Naya Nazimabad Apartments REIT, under which more than 44 million units will be offered to investors.
The development comes as the number of public offerings in Pakistan’s capital market continues to increase, reflecting a growing trend among businesses to raise funds through market-based financing.
SECP Highlights Growing Capital Market Activity
SECP Chairman Dr Kabir Ahmed Siddhu said the rise in public offerings reflects increasing reliance on the capital market for raising funds.
He said a stable capital market plays an important role in providing businesses with long-term financing opportunities and supporting economic growth.
The SECP chairman added that further steps are being taken to reduce the time and cost involved in accessing capital markets, making fundraising more efficient for businesses.
PSX Public Offerings Expand Investment Options
The latest approval adds to the growing number of public offerings at the Pakistan Stock Exchange during 2026.
SECP officials said increased activity in public offerings provides investors with more investment opportunities while helping companies access alternative sources of financing.
The regulator continues to focus on strengthening Pakistan’s capital market framework and improving access to investment and fundraising opportunities.
