KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange ended the first session of the new trading week on a mixed note on Monday, August 24, 2026, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index closing 199 points lower at 176,996.

The market had opened strongly, gaining around 700 points in early trade, but momentum faded during the session as investors remained cautious amid developments surrounding the Iran-US conflict.

By the close, the KSE-100 Index had reversed its early gains and settled in negative territory.

Investor activity remained concentrated in lower-priced shares, with around 930 million shares changing hands during the session.
