Message of the President of Pakistan on Navy Day – 8th September.
Islamabad:
On Navy Day, I extend my deepest gratitude to the men and women of the Pakistan Navy. They stand as the nation’s first line of defence at sea. This day also reminds us of their daring feats and highlights the vital role the Navy continues to play in protecting Pakistan’s maritime frontiers.
The 1965 war showed how courage and resolve can change history. With Operation Somnath, the Pakistan Navy struck far into enemy waters and shattered their sense of security. That operation became a symbol of audacity and skill, inspiring generations of sailors.
Since then, the Navy has evolved into a modern, multi-dimensional force. Today, its duties go far beyond combat readiness. It protects sea trade routes, supports international peace missions, and takes part in disaster relief. This versatility reflects both professionalism and an unwavering commitment to the nation.
During Bunanum-Marsoos, the Navy remained vigilant in safeguarding the coastline. At the same time, it demonstrated its skill in countering hostile or aggressive posturing by the enemy.
On this day, I pay tribute to our martyrs whose sacrifices will never be forgotten. I also salute our ghazis, whose steadfastness remains a source of national pride. Their courage strengthens the nation’s resolve.
Looking ahead, I am confident the Pakistan Navy will continue to defend our maritime borders and promote regional peace. With the same spirit of service, courage, and excellence, it will remain a symbol of strength.
Pakistan Navy Zindabad!
Pakistan Paindabad!
