ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday strongly condemned a terrorist attack targeting government officials in Kohat, which left personnel dead and others injured.
The president offered condolences to the families of those killed in the Kohat terrorist attack and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured, according to a statement issued by the Presidency.
Details about the number of casualties, the departments of the targeted officials and the circumstances surrounding the attack were not provided in the statement.
President Zardari said Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorism remained unwavering and called for those responsible for the attack to be identified and brought to justice.
He also prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved families and for the elevation of the ranks of the personnel who lost their lives.
No group had been identified in the Presidency’s statement as responsible for the attack.
