Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit France, Serbia and Hungary from May 5 to 10, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Monday.
President Xi will make this visit at the invitation of Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic of France, Aleksandar Vučić, the President of the Republic of Serbia, President Tam Sulyok, and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán.
Later, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Jin Jian answered questions about the program and expectations for future visits, saying that President Xi will visit European countries in five years.
The visit will be the first visit by a Chinese president to Europe in five years.
