ISLAMABAD, August 12, 2026: Senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) held an important meeting at the party’s central secretariat in Islamabad, where they reviewed the country’s political situation, organisational matters and the party’s future political strategy.
Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) Secretary General Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari and PPP Information Secretary Nadeem Afzal Chan met Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid and PPP leader Sadia Danish.
Senior PPP leader Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed was also present during the meeting.

PPP Leaders Discuss Political Situation and Party Affairs
During the meeting, the PPP leadership held detailed discussions on the prevailing political situation in Pakistan, internal party affairs, future political strategy and other matters of mutual interest.
The participants also exchanged views on strengthening the party’s organisational structure and expanding its public outreach campaign amid the evolving political environment.
According to the party, the leaders discussed ways to enhance engagement with the public and strengthen coordination within the PPP at different organisational levels.
PPP Vows Continued Role for Democracy and Public Welfare
The PPP leaders reaffirmed the party’s commitment to addressing public concerns and playing an active role in strengthening democratic institutions and promoting the country’s development.
They said the Pakistan Peoples Party would continue working for the resolution of people’s problems, democratic stability and national progress.
The Islamabad meeting comes as political parties continue consultations and internal deliberations over the country’s changing political landscape and their future strategies.
