A major demand has come to the fore from the leaders of the Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to activate and save the Hazara Electric Supply Company. The demands include the appointment of the chairman of the board from Hazara, recruitment from one to 16 from local districts, promotions of local officers, increase in the electricity quota system, provision of a grant of five billion rupees to save it from privatization and provision of royalty to the people like Kashmir. In this regard, it has been emphasized to sponsor a protest demonstration on February 19 for the approval of the demands. Chairman Hazara Electric Supply Company Hydro Workers Union Jamil Akhtar Tanoli, while directly addressing the General Secretary of the PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Member of National Assembly Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Power Division MNA Malik Idrees Khan, and former MNA Captain R Muhammad Safdar, has made recommendations to ensure that the company plays a role in ensuring the welfare of generations in the true sense. Jamil Akhtar Tanoli said that there will be a protest demonstration on February 19 for these demands. Practical efforts are needed to get the company inaugurated by Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and a grant of five billion rupees provided. The newly-born company needs to be saved from the crocodiles who dream of putting it in losses. For this, it is necessary to promote local officers instead of private chiefs on salaries of millions of rupees. Similarly, to end illegal load shedding, the electricity quota system should be increased and the people of Hazara should be given royalty like in Kashmir. He has demanded that the PML-N leaders ensure the implementation of these recommendations.
