ISLAMABAD: Exports of pharmaceutical goods from the country have registered an increase of 3.90 percent in the fiscal year (2023-24) as compared to the same period last year.
Pakistan exported pharmaceutical products worth USD 341.023 million during July-June (2023-24) compared to exports of USD 328.210 million during July-June (2022-23), a growth of 3.90 percent, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
In terms of quantity, exports of pharmaceutical goods also increased by 44.38 percent from 59,213 metric tons to 85,492 metric tons.
In a year-on-year comparison, the export of pharmaceutical goods during the month of June 2024 increased by 32.92 percent compared to the same month last year.
Exports of pharmaceuticals in June 2024 were recorded at $29.128 million against exports of $21.914 million in June 2023, PBS data revealed.
However, month-on-month, exports of pharmaceutical goods in June 2024 declined by 24.47 percent compared to $38.566 million in May 2024.
