Rawalpindi, January 25, 2026:  Pakistan’s security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur District on Saturday, targeting militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to ISPR, the operation was launched following reports of the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces engaged the militants’ location, leading to an exchange of fire in which three Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed.

Those killed were identified as Farooq alias Soro, described as a local area terrorist commander, along with Adeel and Waseem. ISPR said the militants were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site, the statement said.

ISPR added that sanitisation operations are ongoing in the area to ensure no other militants remain present.

The military said Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee as part of the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
