Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team has returned home after completing its tour of Sri Lanka, where the hosts won both the ODI and T20I series by identical 2-1 margins. The national squad arrived in Pakistan via Dubai, with players returning to Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad in separate groups.
The tour ended with disappointing results for Pakistan as Sri Lanka secured victories in both the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series and the three-match T20 International (T20I) series. The ODI series was part of the ICC Women’s Championship, making the results significant in the qualification pathway for future global tournaments.
Sri Lanka Wins Both Series
Sri Lanka claimed the ODI series 2-1 before repeating the same result in the three-match T20I series, completing a successful home campaign against Pakistan.
The results marked a challenging tour for Pakistan, which was unable to recover after losing the ODI series despite competing closely in both formats.
Leadership Change During T20Is
Following the conclusion of the ODI series, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana departed for England to participate in The Hundred women’s competition.
In her absence, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui led the national side during the T20I series. However, Pakistan was unable to overturn the series and finished the tour with defeats in both formats.
